Irene Innocente is Coordinator of the Education Department of the Centro per l’arte contemporanea Luigi Pecci (Prato, Tuscany), where she designs and coordinates educational activities and accessibility programs for all audiences; she is project manager of special projects and contact person for the regional museums educational networks.
Since 2007 she has collaborated as a Museum Educator and Gallery Assistant in various cultural institutions including Le Murate. Progetti Arte Contemporanea (Mus.e, Florence), FLAME|FirenzeSuonaContemporanea (Florence), FARO (Brussels), Linea d'ombra (Bologna), MAC (Vercelli), Museums Sector-Municipality of Turin.
As Contemporary Art Historian, she focused her researches on the art of the 1960s and specialized in relational art. She has been professor of History of Art in high schools and of Museum Management for IED-Florence.
She has a photographic memory, but forgets names. She wishes everyone to be able to experience the transformative power of arts.
