  • October, 26 | 12:00 - 13:30

Education worldwide has undergone a rapid digitalization in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Online classes have become the standard, intermittently, over the past two years. Currently, the education sector has transitioned to hybrid modes of learning infused with technology. The emergence of the Metaverse in education may represent the next significant leap forward.

The objective of this workshop is to gather the experiences of participants to create a matrix that can aid decision-makers in determining whether to utilize the Metaverse or other immersive digital formats in the development of their educational programs.

F. Cascino: transitioning from Richard Long to digital immersive tools: The Metaverse is a realm of information, not experience. Art constitutes an experience and can enhance the Metaverse.

Avv. G. Cugini: leveraging the Metaverse as a tool for experimenting with immersive engagement on limited budgets. Evaluating the associated risks and opportunities. Utilizing the matrix to enrich it with the collective experiences of all participants.

G. Cugini is a lawyer and accountant at Grimaldi Alliance, Switzerland, a member of the Commission of Experts at the Italian Ministry of Culture (MIC) responsible for formulating guidelines for the utilization of NFTs in preserving Italian cultural heritage, and the founder of Metamuseo Stelva.
