Children’s Museum Singapore - Museum Director

Wai Yin Pryke comes from a rich background of education, having spent more than 30 years in the sector. She has had experience leading a school, as well as starting up a training institution for teachers in English. She also led the National Library of Singapore for 3 years, and was instrumental in fostering a closer relationship between the Library and its stakeholders, as well as the community. In 2019, she was invited to join the National Heritage Board as Director of Education and Community Outreach. When the first children’s museum was set up, she became its first Museum Director when it opened in December 2022.

Wai Yin is passionate about community engagement and in creating a vibrant eco system for children to thrive in. As the first director, she aims to foster close ties with the community, fuelled by her belief that it takes a village to raise a child.
