A project by MADRE Donnaregina Contemporary Art Museum

Curated by Villa Lontana Records and Terraforma - Padiglione Italia

With Sara Persico

Language: Italian and English

Sara Persico is an artist born and raised in Naples, based in Berlin. Part of the Neapolitan underground experimental scene, she has developed a musical approach that integrates her voice with analog electronics, field recordings and sampling.

The artist will develop a workshop divided into three parts: theoretical introduction, listening and practice. Beginning with the very history of Partenope, crossing vocal forms of expression related to the history of the city of Naples, the workshop will continue with a critical reflection on the role of voice in the field of contemporary experimental practices. Participants will be invited to experiment and apply different vocal and sound approaches.
