MACRO

Often at conferences and workshops, we find ourselves seated next to people whose institutional characteristics and job positions are familiar to us, but we do not know who they really are and where they come from, or what their dreams are, what their interests are or what they are looking for. This activity will serve to break the ice and get to know each other on a deeper level, because without learning about each other individually, we cannot form a collective body.
HOW WOULD YOU CLEAN A MUSEUM TOGETHER?

In a contemporary museum, we can rediscover, along with the public, the importance of caring – both personally and collectively – but how can museums engage in promoting wellness practices for individuals and the community?
The workshop starts with a simple but puzzling question: how would you clean a museum? Participants will prepare natural cleaning solutions, in the spirit of sharing a snapshot of daily life, a moment of cleaning – but in this instance – of a public space, the museum space, thereby, erasing the distance between public/provided. The museum becomes a cross-cultural space and/or symbol of intimacy, friendship and closeness.
